New for 2008 - JYC Snipe Racing!

JYC Snipe Fleet 554 was started in 2007 and is recognized by the Snipe Class International Racing Association (SCIRA). Currently we have six boats and 8 associate members. Most of our fleet members are members of the Jubilee Yacht Club, though this is not a requirement.

The plans for our 2008 sailing season are underway. We will be hosting one Invitational Event on July 19-20, 2008 and will be running regular fleet races during the season. Click here to view the full 2008 JYC Snipe Fleet 554 schedule, Notice of Race, and Registration Forms.

Thursday Night Race Series

Jubilee YC has been holding races on Thursday evenings for 30 years. We run two 10-race series, one in the spring and a second in the fall. The races are open to any boat that has a valid PHRF-NE certificate and has paid the proper fees. There are four PHRF classes, a J-24 class and a J105 class. Spinnakers may be used in any class. This year the spring series starts on May 17th and goes through July 19. The fall series starts July 26 and goes through September 27. All racers and their crews are invited back to Jubilee after the race to wait for the results and enjoy the party!

The JYC SI's reference the Mass Bay GSI's, so you'll need them too.

Performance Handicap Racing Fleet - New England JYC uses the handicaps from PHRF-NE, so you'll need a current PHRF-NE certificate. You can download the application from their web site. You can also check out your handicap, your competition, and how the handicaps are computed.

Fleets by PHRF: A Fleet = Below 110, B Fleet = 110 to 150, C Fleet = 151 to 184, D Fleet = 185+
